Wedding photography Beamish Hall Durham
Both Kirsten & NK live and work in London so popping up North to talk to a photographer wasnt going to be easy, so we decided on a simple Skype chat. We got to know each other a little and discussed a few of their plans and ideas and chatted about NKs proposal which was pretty epic, as he popped the question at the foot of Christ the Redeemer in Rio during the world cup and in Kirstens own words ‘The Boy done good’…..in my words ‘The Boy done Marvellous, I’m glad someone from England got something out of the world cup 😉
I knew instantly that we were going to get along which is so important for when the big day arrives. We eventually got the chance to meet when they visited the Northeast to finalise a few details and we used this opportunity to visit Jesmond Dene park for their pre wedding shoot.
The wedding at Beamish Hall was a delight to photograph. The family & friends of bride & groom Kirsten & NK celebrated in great style, partying the day away as a 7 piece South African choir put on an outstanding performance, creating a great party atmoshpere! Some guests had travelled from all around the world to share this day with this wonderful couple and their was a real sense of closeness between the couples families & friends as they united.
Kirsten looked amazing and was beaming as she walked down the aisle in her elegant La Sposa ivory wedding gown alongside her equally beautiful bridesmaids in a vibrant emerald green…and of course NK looked rather dashing too!
Here is a insight of how their day unfolded…
