Wedding photographer – Durham Castle
Becky & James met whilst studying at Van Mildert College in Durham. They were president and vice president of the college… not quite the oval office but important non the less 😉
The proposal involved a bit of a treasure hunt with various clues and letters taking Becky all the way from Manchester over to Durham to a bench on Palace Green, in front of Durham Cathedral which as it happens is their favourite place.
The weather forecast wasnt good and for once they got it right! It rained and it rained and it rained…but it really didnt dampen the day. Becky’s smile beamed thoroughout and she looked simply stunning in her Enzoani full length gown. The wedding ceremony took place at St Giles Church, just a short distance from Durham Castle where James patiently awaited Beckys arrival. It was a shame the guests couldnt get to explore the stunning grounds due to the conditions, however we did manage to grab a small break in the rain for some wedding portraiture of just of the two of them.
Tom, the best man (James brother) did his best to dig up some dirt on James, but it appears he hasnt done anything wrong in his life…so dubbed him Mr Perfect! Beckys twin brother Glen Townson is a professional rugby player for Bristol and he done a fantastic job as Master of Ceremonys….so if rugby dosnt work out for him at least he has something to fall back on 😉
As the day drew closer, the bride & groom performed their first dance of the night to Beyonces Halo then joined by their friends and family dancing the night away.
It was a pleasure to be part of a fantastic group of people, thankyou for letting me be part of your day…. he’s to you both for the future!
