My name is  David,  I am an award winning destination wedding photographer who loves the fun, atmosphere and the all round celebration of weddings, I offer a unique contemporary style photographing a wedding, I often appeal to the non-traditionalist, stylish yet contemporary couple. Based in Newcastle upon Tyne ,England, I capture weddings all across the UK, and around Europe and the globe.

I’m incredibly passionate about what I do, I find inspiration all around me and love to use any available light to by advantage and use additional light for the more creative image. I have had the pleasure of photographing at the Sudeley Castle  on a few occasions, the design and elegance lends itself to classic wedding photography.

I take pleasure in playing an integral role in two people joining in marriage but I’m a firm believer in the fact that a wedding is so much more than exchanging words and work to capture every emotion felt and each special moment, translating the true joy of the day through stylish photography .

Where ever you are in the world, I’d love to be part of it.. I Can’t wait to hear from you.

A little about wedding photography at the Sudeley Castle

Sudeley Castle is a Grade I listed Castle located in the Cotswolds, near to the medieval market town of Winchcombe, Gloucestershire. The castle has 10 notable gardens covering some 15 acres within a 1,200 acre estate nestled within the Cotswold hills.

Building of the castle began in 1443 for Ralph Boteler; the Lord High Treasurer of England, on the site of a previous 12th century fortified manor house. It was later seized by the crown and became the property of King Edward IV and King Richard III, who built its famous banqueting hall.

King Henry VIII and his then wife Anne Boleyn visited the castle in 1535; and it later became the home and final resting place of his sixth wife, Katherine Parr who remarried after the king’s death. Parr is buried in the castle’s church, making Sudeley the only privately owned castle in the world to have a Queen of England buried in its grounds. Sudeley soon became the home of the Chandos Family, and the castle was visited on three occasions by Queen Elizabeth I, who held a three-day party there to celebrate the defeat of the Spanish Armada.

During the First English Civil War the castle was used as a military base, by King Charles I and Prince Rupert, and it was later laid to siege and slated by parliament, remaining largely in ruins for the following few centuries until its purchase in 1837 by the Dent family, who completed a major restoration. Since 2016, the castle hotel has been owned by Warner Leisure Hotels which completed another restoration and added a new music venue prior to a March 2019 reopening. Sudely Castle & Gardens continued to operate the castle itself as a tourist attraction, wedding venue and corporate conference centre.
