Marquee wedding photography Scottish borders
A two hour drive north took me to the very picturesque town of Yetholm Kirk, situated on the borders on a very blurry line that seperates Scotland from England. I have to admit I associate the borders with rain and expected lots of it. How wrong could I be…the day ended as it began in beautiful sunshine with temperatures to match!
The rolling hills and the glorious countryside were a sight to behold and was far removed from my usual city locations. Gillian began her bridal preparations in what used to be the old village town hall, now newly refurbished into her parents new home and the ceremony was held in the parish church in Yetholm Kirk, Kelso… It almost reminded me of something out of Disney, with its tall towers and black stone!!
The guests comprised of both English & Scots with lots of different tartans on display and as the Scottish population decide upon their future within the United Kingdom the unity amongst the guests seemed a million miles away!
Since photographing their wedding Gillian & James have been blessed with a beautiful baby girl and I’d like to take this opportunity to wish them all every success and happiness for the future!
