Adriana & Guilliaume
-Chateau de Rochegude, South of France-
Destination wedding photographer in a French chateau
My first ever chat with Adriana & Guilliaume was over Skype as they are both currently based in Australia and in all honesty my first thought when I saw them was ‘wow’ what a stunning couple. After shooting the wedding I can whole heartedly say they are as charming as they as are gorgeous in person. And luckily for me the good genes didn’t stop there…the bridesmaids and groomsmen also looked like they’d just stepped off a Hollywood film set too, a perfect start for a destination wedding photographer in a french chateau!
That aside, I was just delighted to make the journey from the North East in the UK to the very beautiful South of France, Provence to photograph their day. It was quite a journey – two flights and a two hour drive each way but it was all very much worth it!
The wedding party took over the chateau in the small village of Rochegude which is surrounded by vineyards and poppy fields and steeped in amazing architecture and history. Attached to the chateau is the stunning ornate cathedral in which the couple married. The ceremony itself differed to a UK wedding as the groom and family members are led into the cathedral by the local priest before lastly ushering the bride and her father down the aisle too. This wedding was very much about the big involvement of family and friends and on exit they all celebrated and danced down the aisle to the upbeat sound of violins and base guitars from the famous Jazz Manouche band, Cafe de l’Este trio…ranked no 1 in that region of France.
The Australians and French carried on celebrating on arrival to the courtyard, greeted with canapes and lots of wine! Soon followed by the evening reception complete with a very unexpected flash mob by all of their guests….A great moment which I’m sure they will never forget!

Adriana oozes sophistication and chose a stunning Elianna Moore wedding gown for the ceremony, followed by a second full length satin gown on the evening by Australian designer ‘Made with love bridal’ and complimented with Cinderella slippers by Jimmy Choo
