Hi, I’m David West, a wedding photographer based in the North East of England, photographing weddings across the UK and internationally.
My approach is simple — I capture weddings as they naturally unfold, without turning your day into a photoshoot.
No awkward posing.
No constant interruptions.
Just genuine moments, beautiful light, and photographs that feel effortless and timeless.
Most of the day is photographed in a documentary wedding photography style, allowing real moments to happen naturally while I quietly capture them as they unfold.
When the time is right, we’ll also create a few relaxed portraits that feel natural, elegant and never staged.
I’ve been fortunate enough to photograph weddings at incredible venues including Peckforton Castle, Wotton House and The Savoy London, as well as beautiful country houses and castles across the UK.

Capturing Moments
No Interuptions
Most of your wedding day should unfold naturally — not feel like a photoshoot.
My approach is quiet, observant and relaxed. I spend most of the day in the background capturing genuine moments as they happen, allowing you and your guests to simply enjoy the celebration.
From nervous laughter during the morning preparations to the energy of the dance floor later in the evening, the goal is always the same — honest photographs that feel real, timeless and effortless.
But experience has also taught me that sometimes a photographer needs to do more than just take pictures.
You might find me straightening a veil before the aisle walk, helping a groomsman with a buttonhole, fixing a dress, calming nerves or occasionally entertaining a baby so mum can breathe for a moment.
And then just as quickly, I disappear back into the background — capturing the moments that happen naturally when nobody realises the camera is there.

From historic castles and elegant country houses to iconic city locations, each venue brings its own character and atmosphere — something I always aim to reflect in the photographs.

A First Look at Your Wedding Photos
I shoot many weddings throughout the year and each wedding is processed in a chronological order, in simple terms, each wedding joins the “edit queue” . Obviously I know how excited you as couples are to see your images so I added a “sneak peek” section to showcase just a few images from photographs from your day, I add these a few days after your wedding to give you a glimpse of what you can expect without having to wait too long.
