Langley Castle Wedding Photography

Early Sunday morning took me to Newcastle Quayside walking through the leftover stag and Hen Doo’ers as they drifted zombie like in search for coffees, Greg’s pasties and a few for the proverbial hair and a dog.. finally i reached my destination but only after wading through the sea of semi naked leftovers, I met Jema in her room, She opted for the the malmaison in Newcastle to don the dress.. and the preparations for her Big Day!

You might remember Jema and james, I photographed their Pre wedding shoot a few months back on a rainy day in March, You can see the pictures here ( Jema & James Pre wedding shoot)

A few laughs, tears and deep breaths later, Jema was all ready to leave for Langley Castle, that was my cue to hot foot it out of there and get to the reception in time for her arrival..

As you will see by the pictures , the day was glorious, the people happy and the couple .. well emotional !! this is a wedding I will remember for a long time for all the right reasons!, here’s a few from the day!

A Wedding at Newton Hall – Newton Hall Wedding Photography

Andy & Carly both live in London but are originally from the North east. They chose the wonderful quirky boutique style venue for there wedding at “Newton Hall” in Northumberland. The day was filled with emotion, a mixture of celebrating there new life together, whilst also pulling together as a family to support each other after Carly had recently lost her father. His favourite Newcastle United scarf was present throughout the day along with many photographs and a beautiful poem by Carly in memory of her Dad.

Alongside the boutique style surroundings, they chose a shabby chic style decor with a mix of wooden crates, wild flowers and vintage style table settings which complimented the day perfectly. Carly looked stunning in her elegant strapless ivory dress from Rosetta Nicolini-Shanessa whilst Andrew donned a very suave style black dinner suit, looking like he had just stepped out of a James bond movie

Carly & Andrew you make a wonderful couple and I truly wish you both a fantastic future…thank you for choosing me to be part of such a special day x

Why I decided to use USB’s instead of DVD and Future Proof your wedding photos

Rumor has it that the trusted old DVD has had its day… given the amount of DVD movies out there and the cost of DVD players I’m pretty sure this wont be for while yet.

That said, company’s like Apple are no longer including DVD players on their mac books any longer and opting instead for the memory cards, USB’s and other solid state media storage devices.. Something I have decided to adopt myself, A DVD isn’t exactly ideal to loan out to your friend or relatives with all the images from you big day stored on such a flimsy device, theirs always the danger of a scratch, a chip or a drop and its easy done. For this reason alone I have opted to now supply my bride and grooms with images on something a little more durable and compact, something the bride can fit in her handbag or loan out to mum without any danger of scratching the surface and something that will load on just about any computer be it mac PC or even TV these days!

I now supply all Wedding images on USB making it easier for you to view your pictures on so many more peripherals, like modern TV’s, Computers, Laptops & Tablets.

Pre wedding photography in Sunderland, Roker Park – Sarah & Andrew

Pre wedding photography on freezing cold day in the north east means only one thing… Coats and lots of hugs … unfortunately the only thing I had to keep me warm was my camera, luckily for Sarah and Rob, they had each other.

We met up in Roker Park in Sunderland (not the old football ground), and is just a stones throw from the beach but far enough we where sheltered ( well… almost) from the elements, we where accompanied by their lovely Daughter who was carefully mined by Grandma as we walked around the park chatting about the wedding plans and fitting in a few photographs at the same time.
They will be having the marriage service in Whitburn and then heading off to the Morrit in Gretna Bridge for the wedding ceremony, interestingly enough Sarah will be walking down the Isle to a brass band which is certainly a first for me and I cant wait for May to come around!

Here’s a few from the day… hopefully the next time we meet we wont need any warm clothes as the sun will be smiling!

Pre Wedding Shoot – South Shields Marine Park – Leanne & Terry

I met up with Leanne and Terry in My home town of South Shields earlier this year on a windy day in March and they were accompanied by their Labrador Dog Benjie, who was very well behaved I may add.
We originally met up at the Beach but the wind was so bad it made it impossible to keep our eyes open, so we headed into theMarine Park to escape the worst of it, the cold spell meant the flowers where a little shy on making an appearance but we managed to find a few to add a little colour to the scenery, Leanne and Terry will be married at the very grand, Lumley Castle! and I will be posting the photos from their wedding very soon!
